What to do after your B.C. tenancy agreement is signed

Once you and your tenant have signed the agreement, there are a few more things you’ll need to do to set up the tenancy.

Give your tenant a copy

Give your tenant a copy of the tenancy agreement within 21 days of entering into it.

Complete the move-in condition inspection

Walk through the rental with your tenant when they’re entitled to move in, or on another day you both agree to, and document its condition.

Give your tenant a signed copy of the move-in condition inspection report within seven days of the inspection.
